SLCERT issues “high threat” warning on malware

The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) has issued a “high threat” warning on a new malware. SLCERT said the new Android malware could steal sensitive financial information. The malware is capable of reading the SMS of users in order to hijack SMS-based 2 factor authentications. There are reports of PayPal, HSBC and crypto wallets being targeted. Number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka goes past 700

The number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka went past 700 late this evening. The Health Ministry said that 12 new cases were reported by this evening. This took the total number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka to 702. The Health Ministry said that as of today (Saturday) there are?523 coronavirus active patients in Sri Lanka. Another 172 patients have recovered and have been discharged from hospital. (Colombo Gazette)

Sajith’s party decides not to attend meeting with PM
