Probe on baby found in the jungle

The police are investigating the discovery of a baby in a jungle in Kattankudy, the police media unit said today.
According to the police the child was found when two people had gone into the jungle to collect fire-wood.
The police said that a 6 month old male child had been found abandoned inside the jungle.
The police are attempting to locate the parents of the child, the police media unit said.
The child has been admitted to hospital under police care. The Kattankudy police are conducting investigations. (Colombo Gazette)

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that clearing operations of the oil spill off?Uswetakeiyawa has been completed. CPC said that as per information of Marine Environment Protection Authority (MEPA), the major oil clean-up operations have been completed?and small groups are engaged in beach cleaning operations continuously.
