Two killed, two injured in Hambantota accident

Two people were killed and two others injured following an accident along the Colombo – Kataragama main road in Hambantota today, the police media unit said.
The police said that a van travelling from Tissamaharama to Hambantota collided with a three-wheeler travelling on the opposite direction.
Four people who were in the three wheeler suffered serious injuries and were admitted to hospital, the police media unit said.
The police said that two of the injured succumbed to their injuries in hospital. Another person was?transferred?to the Karapitiya hospital from Hambantota.
The van driver was admitted to hospital and was placed under arrest by the police over the accident. (Colombo Gazette)
