Hirunika fears for her life

Hirunika Premachandra, the daughter of late government member Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra fears that she may face death threats considering that the Attorney General?s department had instructed the police to file a case against MP Duminda Silva.
According to the instructions issued by the AG, the CID has also been told to file cases against 12 others in relation to the case.
Premachandra meanwhile also raised hope that justice will finally be meted out against her father?s killers, more than a year after he was shot dead.
Speaking to the Colombo Gazette, Premachandra also said that she will begin her political career once she finishes her studies.
Premachandra had earlier said she will get into politics and take forward her father?s legacy as a politician.
?I am still doing some higher studies. Once I finish that I will get deeply involved in politics,? she said.
Presidential Advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed in the shooting incident in October 2011 and Silva was seen as one of the main suspects in the murder. ?(Colombo Gazette)
