SLC says team manager was suspended

The Sri Lanka cricket board says national team manager Charith Senanayake was suspended from service with immediate effect without remuneration, pending an inquiry into three charges against him.
A statement by the cricket board said the decision to suspend him was conveyed to him last morning and the suspension letter couriered to his residence.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) had announced the appointment of Michael de Zoysa as the new manager of the national cricket team this week.
Senanayake held the position for over an year. De Zoysa would take charge of the team from this month’s home series against Bangladesh.
A tea industry executive, De Zoysa is more known for his administrative roles and as a radio and TV commentator.
