Central Finance official missing

An official from Central Finance has been reported missing while returning from Anamaduwa last night.
The official, who was returning to Colombo in a vehicle with another man, had stopped by the road for a short break and went into a small thicket but failed to return.
The man who was in the vehicle with him had gone to look for him but could not find him.
The police said that a joint search operation involving the army and officials of the disaster management center was underway.
The official is said to be attached to the Nugegoda branch of Central Finance and had gone to Anamaduwa to inspect a project. (Colombo Gazette)
