UNP denies claims it failed to fully back Sajith’s campaign

The United National Party (UNP) today denied claims that it had not fully backed the Presidential election campaign of New Democratic Front Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa. Governors resign on President’s request

The Governors of all the provinces have resigned on a request made by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The Presidential Secretariat had sent letters to the Governors requesting them to step down, Western Province Governor A. J. M. Muzammil said.
