Assassins of Moratuwa monk found dead

The police said they had found the?assassins?of a monk in Moratuwa dead with bullet wounds in Bandaragama today.
Sujith Gunaratna and R. Randima were wanted over the murder of the monk last night.
A search operation had been launched last night to locate the suspects but their bodies were found in Bandaragama with bullet wounds.
The police media unit said that the Mount Lavinia police and Moratuwa police are investigating the incident.
The monk in Moratuwa was stabbed to death during the late hours of last night, the police said.
The victim was identified as the Venerable ?Metiyakanda Wimalawansa, a monk attached to a Temple in Egoda Uyana Moratuwa.
Investigations revealed that the murder was over a land dispute ?involving the two men. (Colombo Gazette)
