Cold weather over Sri Lanka

The weather over Si Lanka today has been mainly fair and cold, the?Department?of Meteorology said.
A cold breeze was felt in Colombo and the surrounding areas from morning.
The?Department?of Meteorology meanwhile said that there will be showers or thundershowers at several places in the sea areas off Eastern, South-eastern and Southern coasts over the next few hours.
Winds will be from North-easterly or Northerly direction and speed will be 30 – 40 km/hr. The speed may increase up to 50-60 km/hr at times in the Gulf of Mannar sea area and sea areas off the Western, Southern and South-eastern coasts.
The Gulf of Mannar sea area and sea areas off Western, Southern and South-eastern coasts will be rough at times. (Colombo Gazette)

Former Navy spokesman Dassanayake to remain behind bars
