TID summons Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam

The Police Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) has issued summons on?Tamil National People?s Front (TNPF) President Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, reports said today.

A notice had been sent to him yesterday asking him to be present at the TID office in Colombo tomorrow (Saturday).

Reports from Jaffna said that the Tamil politician, son of late Kumar Ponnambalam, is expected to be questioned over some of the recent incidents in Jaffna?involving Jaffna university students.

Several students of the Jaffna university were arrested last month following alleged attempts by some of them to?commemorate?the LTTE ‘heroes?week’.
