India’s DMK Chief M.K Karunanidhi has had discussions on Sri Lanka with the British Deputy High Commissioner in Chennai Mike Nithavrianakis.
The discussion had taken place yesterday when the British Deputy High Commissioner in Chennai met Karunanidhi.
Indian Tamil media reports said that Karunanidhi had taken up the resolution adopted on Sri Lanka at the TESO conference in Chennai recently.
Meanwhile Karunanidhi, in a statement, raised concerns over the arrest of university students in Jaffna.
He called for their immediate release and also urged the Indian High Commission in Colombo to intervene over the issue. (Colombo Gazette)
