Kotte Mayor reveals locations to get heroin

Kotte Mayor Janaka Ranawaka today revealed the locations in the Kotte area from where heroin can be purchased.

Speaking at an event today the Kotte Mayor revealed that heroin can be purchased from at least 3 locations in Kotte. (As a responsible media outlet we will not mention the locations here)

The Mayor, who had earlier said he will also reveal in public the names of some police officers who he claimed were involved in dealing with heroin, today said he will give the list with the names to the police headquarters.

The Kotte Mayor, who was to leave for Malaysia tonight, said some police officers were assisting drug dealers in the Kotte area.

Minimum age of employment to be raised to 16

Chairman of three-wheel association killed

The Chairman of a three-wheel association has died after being assaulted in Mirihana. The Police said that the Chairman of the Self-Employed Professionals? National Three-Wheeler Association, Sunil Jayawardena, succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The 53-year-old man had suffered critical injuries following the assault. He was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Police said that eight suspects were arrested over the incident.?(Colombo Gazette)
