The Sri Lanka cricket board elections have been postponed to April in order to give time for the Attorney General?s Department to study a report on the eligibility of some candidates to contest the polls, the Sports Ministry said today. Lankan monk assaulted in Thanjavur

A Buddhist monk from Sri Lanka, who was in Thanjavur, India for academic research, bore the brunt of the latest wave of anti-Lanka protests that has gripped the State lately, the New Indian Express reported. Government tells Frank no

The government has refused to accede to a request by the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, Frank La Rue, to visit Sri Lanka.
