Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage says he is keen to see the implementation of the report submitted by former ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
Among the recommendations mentioned in the report is for the selection of the national team to be fully in the hands of the selectors with no political interference.
The report, compiled by Lorgat on the invitation of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, was released to the media today.
Lorgat met several stakeholders involved in cricket in Sri Lanka before making his report. Among those he met were former cricketers.
However Lorgat said he was unable to meet former captain Arjuna Ranathunga as Ranathunga was busy and not available.
