UN internal report on Lanka this week

UN Secretary-General Ban ki-moon will this week receive the report of his Internal Review Panel on the actions of the United Nations in Sri Lanka.

Martin Nesirky, spokesperson for the Secretary-General said that the report will be made public once the UN Chief reads it.

The report, commissioned by the Secretary General, is being headed by Charles Petrie and came to be after the UN panel of experts in the ‘Darusman report’ suggested that the UN actions during the final war in Sri Lanka be reviewed.
