A budget for the Lamborghini says UNP

The UNP today accused the government of formulating the budget for 2013 to favor the import of a Lamborghini car for a VIP.
UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe told reporters today that the government had decided to remove the excise duty on racing cars to facilitate the import of the Lamborghini car.
Speaking at a separate event today UNP MP Sujeewa Senasinghe said that the Lamborghini car was already in the country and needed to be cleared from taxes to be put on the street.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa said in his budget speech that the excise duty on imported racing cars and go karts will be axed.
Lanka Business Online had reported that the tax cut for racing cars came shortly after taxes on cars used by ordinary Sri Lankans were jacked up.
