An Army Major General has been arrested over an incident involving Wildlife Department officials. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said that the Army Major General had surrendered to the Habarana Police today. Retirement age for medical officers extended to 63

The retirement age for medical officers has been extended to 63 through a gazette notification issued by the Minister of Public Services,?Provincial Councils and Local Government. Turkey suspends flights from Sri Lanka

The Turkish Government has suspended flights from Sri Lanka and five other countries. The Interior Ministry of Turkey in a circular said that Turkey has suspended flights from Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka as of July 1 and until further notice, Travelobiz reported.
