Australia, Pakistan qualify. Lanka to face Pakistan

Australia and Pakistan qualified for the semi finals of the Twenty 20 cricket world cup and will now join Sri Lanka and the West Indies to battle for a slot in the finals.

Sri Lanka will face Pakistan in the first semi final on Thursday while Australia face the West Indies on Friday.

Meanwhile India and South Africa were eliminated from the tournament.?India were knocked out ?even after beating South Africa by a run as Pakistan booked their place in semifinals with a better net run-rate.

Earlier in the day?Pakistan defeated Australia by 32 runs in a key group two Super Eights match.

However, Australia reached the semi-finals on the basis of a better net run rate.

Djokovic withdraws from Indian Wells because of vaccination status

World number one Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from this week’s Indian Wells Masters event with the Serb unable to enter the United States. The 22-time Grand Slam winner, 35,?had applied for special permission to enter the US because he is not vaccinated against Covid-19.
