US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert Blake arrived in Sri Lanka this evening on short visit.
He arrived in Sri Lanka from the Maldives where he had met the Maldivian President as well as the opposition.
During his stay in Sri Lanka Blake is to discuss the progress on the implementation of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) Action Plan.
Blake will also hold a roundtable discussion with civil society representatives during his visit to Sri Lanka from September 12 to 14.
He will also meet with the Minister of External Affairs GL Peiris and other senior Sri Lankan officials to discuss a wide range of issues.
