Minister Rishad Badurdeen was released on bail when he appeared before the Mannar Court today over an alleged threat on a judge.
The Minister appeared in court today after a summons was issued for him to show cause over the alleged threat.
The Judge ordered the Minister to appear again in court in October.
He was earlier accused of threatening a judge in Mannar during a recent protest by some Muslim fishermen in the area.
During the protest last month the Mannar high Court premises was also stoned and it was reported that the Minister had instigated the attack.
However the Minister rejected the allegations.
