Restraining order on suspension

The court of appeal has issued a restraining order on the UNP leadership against the suspension or taking disciplinary action on six UNP members.

Following a petition filed by the UNP members the appeal court issued the restraining order?on UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and party Secretary Tissa Attanayake effective till the 20^th of this month.

The petitions were filed by the UNP members from Galen Binduruwewa, Rambewa, Tirapane, Kekirewa, Kahatagasdigiliya and Ibalogama.

The UNP members had reportedly feared facing disciplinary action for posing in a photograph with President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently.
