South Africa agrees to postpone Tests in Sri Lanka

South Africa has agreed to postpone next year’s three-Test series in Sri Lanka until 2015 and will instead play five one-day internationals and three Twenty20 games on tour in July and August. Sri Lanka names squad for Tests against New Zealand

The Sri Lankan cricket board today announced the squad selected to face New Zealand in two Test matches which follow the ongoing one day series. Mahela Jayawardena has been retained as captain while Angelo Mathews will be the vice captain of the Test team. Mathews now fifth in the ODI all-rounders? table

Sri Lanka vice-captain Angelo Mathews has broken into the top five of the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for ODI all-rounders in the latest rankings released on Tuesday, after his team’s series against New Zealand.
