Fake cop arrested in Pannipitiya

A suspect who posed as a policeman using a fake ID and committed several crimes, has been arrested. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said the suspect had displayed an identity card posing as a sub-inspector and had engaged in various crimes and fraudulent activities. Child drowns after falling into a fish tank

A child drowned after falling into a fish tank in a house in Galkiriyagama. The Police said the child had fallen into the fish tank that was constructed inside a house in the Aandiyagala area. The deceased has been identified as a one-year-old male. The body of the child has been placed at the mortuary of the Aandiyagala Hospital.
