Several arrested for violating ID system

Several people have been arrested for violating an ID system strictly enforced since yesterday (Monday) to travel on the road. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said a special operation was conducted in the Western Province yesterday to monitor those violating the National Identity Card (NIC) system.
