LTTE remnants in Canada a threat

LTTE remnants in Canada pose a threat as they continue the illegal activities such as fund raising, human smuggling and political propaganda, the High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Canada Mrs. Chitranganee Wagiswara said.

She says that leaders of these front organizations under the guise of political activities and charities have the network to carry out such operations.

The External Affairs Ministry quoted the High Commissioner as saying the government was committed to consolidate peace and reconciliation and to further develop the economy for the benefit of the people of all communities.

The High Commissioner said that Canada could support the ongoing reconstruction and rebuilding efforts and add their voice and support for reconciliation efforts in Canada and in Sri Lanka.

The High Commissioner also invited Canadian Parliamentarians to visit Sri Lanka and see for themselves the developments in the country and also requested them to join the Canada Sri Lanka Parliamentary Friendship Association.

  1. the usual blah blah nonsense. The President said he would go beyond the 13th amendment but his government isn’t even implementing the 13th amendment to the constitution.

You cannot implement the constitution according to your whims and fancies.
