Sri Lanka lose thrilling first final

Sri Lanka lost a thrilling first final in the CB series against Australia today after making a strong comeback in a match they seemed to have lost much earlier.

After seeing Australia post 321/6 after batting first the Sri Lankans had lost 6 wickets for 144 runs and looked like losing the match very early.

However all-rounder Nuwan Kulasekera and Upul Tharanga, who came down the order instead of his usual opening slot, put on an incredible fight-back to put Sri Lanka within just a few runs from victory.

The Sri Lankans were however bowled out in the last over for 306 runs and with that lost the match by 15 runs.

Sri Lanka and Australia face each other again on Tuesday in the second final.
