Bryan Robson and Dwight York will be in Sri Lanka to announce a deal with Indian mobile company Bharti Airtel.
Airtel signed a 5-year sponsorship deal with Manchester United three years ago and the company is to make MU related Value Added Services (VAS) available in Sri Lanka.
This includes Manchester United Ring Tones, Ringing Tones and other branded merchandise which can be used as customer promotions.
The two football legends are already in Bangladesh as part of the Airtel promotional tour, the company said.
The legendary British club has a huge following in Asia and thousands of fans in Bangladesh with a special Manchester United Bangladesh Facebook page.
In August last year, there were media reports in the Singapore press that the club wanted to tap into its huge Asian fan base and raise up to $1 billion by listing 30 percent of its shares in Singapore.
York was a Trinidad and Tobago international player who was instrumental in the famous Manchester United treble win in the 1998-99 season. He also captained the T&T team in their 1st ever World Cup finals in 2006.
