SriLankan Airlines Awards Dubai Ground Handling Contracts To Dnata

SriLankan Airlines has awarded its ground handling service contracts at Dubai International Airport to Dnata, following approval by the Cabinet of Ministers based on recommendations from the Bid Evaluation Committee and the Higher Level Procurement Committee.
The airline currently operates scheduled passenger and cargo flights to Dubai, where Dnata serves as the sole provider of ground handling services. The previous agreement covering passenger handling and ground services expired on 31 March 2026, while the cargo handling agreement is set to expire on 30 June 2026.
Under the new arrangement, Dnata will continue providing passenger and ground handling services for a three-year period from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029, at an estimated cost of AED 33.04 million.
Additionally, the contract for cargo handling services has also been awarded to Dnata for three years, from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029, at an estimated cost of AED 7.6 million.
The decision ensures the continuity of essential operational support for SriLankan Airlines at one of its key international destinations, maintaining efficiency in both passenger and cargo operations.
