New Zealand Commits NZ$1 Million to Support Sri Lanka’s Disaster Response

New Zealand has pledged NZ$1 million to bolster Sri Lanka’s ongoing emergency response efforts, with the funds set to be provided through an international relief organisation.

In a statement on Tuesday, the New Zealand High Commission in Colombo expressed sympathy to those affected by Cyclone Ditwah, stressing that the country stands with the families enduring loss and hardship.

The financial support comes as Sri Lankan authorities continue widespread rescue and aid operations across regions severely impacted by landslides and flooding.

New Zealand joins a growing number of countries offering assistance, as the nation works to manage the unfolding disaster and deliver critical support to affected communities.
