Dileep Mudadeniya appointed Sri Lanka’s tourism advisory Committee Chairperson

Dileep Mudadeniya has been appointed as the Chairperson of Sri Lanka’s tourism advisory Committee.

Mudadeniya said he was honored to be appointed as the Chairperson of the National tourism advisory Committee, established under Section 32 of the Tourism Act No. 38 of 2005.

The advisory committee is formed to guide the government on strategic and sustainable tourism development, fostering the growth of Sri Lanka’s tourism industry.

“In this role, I look forward to providing insights and shaping policies that drive a thriving, resilient, and globally competitive tourism sector,” Mudadeniya said.

The committee brings together industry leaders, professionals, and key stakeholders, ensuring a holistic approach to implementing the National Tourism Policy?ultimately benefiting Sri Lanka’s economy, communities, and the future of tourism in Sri Lanka.

Mudadeniya said that in consultation with all stake holders he was looking forward to contribute towards a sustainable and prosperous tourism industry. (Colombo Gazette)
