New Zealand and Sri Lanka explore avenues to expand ties

New Zealand and Sri Lanka had talks focused on avenues to expand ties between both countries.

The?High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to New Zealand, Prasanna Gamage, met with Michael Appleton, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand at the New Zealand Parliament, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations.

During the discussions, key areas of cooperation were explored, including the progress of opening diplomatic Missions in each other?s countries and further enhancing Sri Lanka-New Zealand ties across various sectors.

Sri Lanka’s mission in New Zealand said the engagement underscores Sri Lanka?s commitment to deepening diplomatic, economic, and people-to-people relations with New Zealand. (Colombo Gazette)

A Sri Lankan youth was rushed to hospital after?after being stabbed in Italy yesterday, the Italian media reported. The 20 year old Sri lankan was stabbed by an unidentified group of men who had approached him?in?Piazza Cavour, in Rome, Italy. The Sri Lankan had told the police he was attacked for no reason.
