Fresh expressions of interests for Indo-Lanka ferry service

The Government is to call for fresh Expressions Of Interests (EOIS) to resume the ferry service between India and Sri Lanka, Ports and Shipping Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe told the Colombo Gazette. Court bans protest by Namal in Hambantota against port, airport deal

A restraining order has been issued against Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa from holding a protest in the Hambantota area tomorrow. The protest was to be staged against the agreement reached between the Government with two foreign companies to operate the Hambantota port and airport.
