Anura’s ‘A Rich Country – A Beautiful Life’ election manifesto released

The election manifesto of National People?s Power (NPP) Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, titled ‘A Rich Country – A Beautiful Life’ was released, Monday.

The election manifesto was launched at the Monarch Imperial Hotel at Sri Jayawardhanepura.

NPP Parliamentarian Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said that most election manifestos are most often just limited to a document with no meaning.

However, she said the NPP election manifesto is a social contract with the public.

She said the manifesto had been discussed with a wide range of people before it was finalised.

The first copies of the document were handed over to religious leaders attending the event. (Colombo Gazette)
