Police seize bus after passengers complain over lack of social distancing

The Police seized a bus and detained the bus driver and conductor after passengers complained over the failure to ensure social distancing in the vehicle. Police spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said that a complaint was made over the bus operating from Colombo to Mathugama. Two people stabbed to death following clash in Vaddukoddai

Two people have been killed following a clash between two groups in Vaddukoddai in the Jaffna peninsula. The Police said that the clash had occurred last night following a private dispute. At least 15 people had been involved in the clash, the Police said. Two people were stabbed to death during the incident.?The two victims were aged 34 and 56.
