Government assures precautions taken to prevent virus entering Sri Lanka

The Sri Lankan Government today assured that precautions have been taken to detect tourists visiting the country who may have been infected with a fast spreading virus in China. Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi told Parliament that all tourists arriving in Sri Lanka have been advised to report to the health desk at the airport if they have a fever. Sampanthan hurt by comments made on official residence

Speaker insists copies of Ranjan’s telephone recordings not received

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya today reiterated that that Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake has not tabled copies of the controversial telephone recordings.
