Man kills his two children and commits suicide

A man has allegedly killed his two children and later committed suicide in Polambeygoda, Aranayaka.

The Police said that the man had killed his children aged 6 and 9 and then committed suicide.

The 33-year-old man was found hanging by the neck in a shed while the remains of the two children were found nearby.

The Police said that a domestic dispute was believed to have been the cause of the crime.

He had a dispute with his wife and committed the crime over the dispute.

Investigations revealed that the man had objected to plans by the his wife to travel overseas.

According to the Police, he had asked his wife to come home yesterday but she refused.

He had then taken his children to the shed and killed them before committing suicide.? (Colombo Gazette)
