Boat with over 100 Rohingya migrants detained in Sri Lanka

A boat carrying over 100 Rohingya illegal migrants has been detained in Sri Lankan waters.

The boat was reportedly heading to a foreign county when it drifted into Sri Lankan waters.

The boat was detected in the northern waters by local fishermen.

The fishermen had alerted the Sri Lanka Navy who rushed to the area and detained the boat. (Colombo Gazette)
