Harin Fernando calls for a second “Aragalaya”

Tourism Minister Harin Fernando has called for a second “Aragalaya” to be launched against anyone attempting to destabilise the country.

He said that the second Aragalaya should be launched against anyone attempting to derail moves to rebuild the country.

The Tourism Minister expressed these views in Parliament today.

He said that as a country there needs to be opposition to any attempt to prevent stability in Sri Lanka.

The first Aragalaya or struggle led to mass protests in Colombo and other parts of the country.

The protests forced then President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to resign.

Fernando said that Sri Lanka now needs a healing President and praised the efforts of current President Ranil Wickremesinghe.?(Colombo Gazette)

No request made by Sri Lanka to extradite sniper

Sri Lanka?has not made any request to extradite a sniper in Maldivian custody,?Maldives Attorney General Mohamed Anil said today.
