DJ found dead in nightclub

A Nepalese DJ was found dead at a night club/pub in Bambalapitiya yesterday, the police media unit said this morning. The police said that the Nepalese national was identified as 32 year old Purna Bahadoor, a resident of Kathmandu. He was found hanging by the neck in the nightclub by the staff. The Magisterial inquiry was conducted yesterday. The Bambalapitiya police are conducting further investigations.

Free Fonseka ?unconditionally?

The United National Party (UNP) today called for the unconditional release of former Army Commander General Sarath Fonseka. UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa, addressing the R. Drunk passengers in mid-air drama

Two Maldivians have been arrested for harassing passengers onboard a Sri Lankan airlines flight which was returning from Bangkok last night, the police said today. Both Maldivians had been under the influence of liquor and had harassed the passengers and crew while the plane was in mid-air. The two passengers were handed over to the Katunayake airport police and are to be produced in court today.
