Saman Ekanayake appointed Secretary to the Prime Minister

Saman Ekanayake has been appointed as the Secretary to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Ekanayake is a Special Grade Retired Officer in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service.

He has been the Secretary to the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe three times during the period 2015-2019 and has been appointed to the post for the fourth time.

He holds a first degree from the University of Peradeniya and a postgraduate degree in Public Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

He has served as a SLAS officer for over 30 years in the Ministries of Youth Affairs, Sports, Samurdhi, Housing, Industry, Foreign Affairs and Finance as well as in the Sri Lankan High Commissions in Malaysia and London. (Colombo Gazette)
