IUSF protest reaches Galle Face

The protest walk by students of the Inter University Students? Federation reached Galle Face this evening.

The university students, who initially gathered near the Wijerama residence of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, later walked towards Galle Face.

Thousands of students reached Galle Face to the huge applause of those already gathered at Galle Face.

Speaking in Galle Face, Inter University Students? Federation (IUSF) Convenor Wasantha Kumara Mudalige said that they will remove President Gotabaya Rajapaksa if he does not step down.

He noted that the protest walk continued despite several barricades being placed around Galle Face.

Mudalige said that removing the barricades is no difficult task but the main focus is to remove the President and his Government. (Colombo Gazette)
