Tourists from seven countries including Syria to be screened

The Government has decided to screen tourists from seven countries including Syria, Pakistan and Nigeria. Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs S. B. DIG arrested for assisting suspect in Vithya murder to flee

A top policeman was arrested today for assisting a suspect in the case over the murder of schoolgirl Sivaloganathan Vithya to flee. Senior DIG Lalith Jayasinghe was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). Vithya was abducted and raped in 2015 before she was killed.
