Case on legality of decision to dissolve Parliament postponed to tomorrow

The case on the legality of President Maithripala Sirisena’s decision to dissolve Parliament has been postponed to tomorrow. The case was heard for the full day today with lawyers appearing on behalf of the petitioners making their statements. An interim injunction was sought during the hearing and later the Attorney General, who also appeared in the case, sought time till tomorrow to give his opinion, lawyers said.
