A Maldivian man is in critical condition after being attacked on a main street in neighbouring Sri Lanka on Wednesday, Haveeru online reported. Haveeru has found that 45-year-old Nooraddeen of Thaa Atoll Vilufushi island was robbed before the attack, but the High Commission of Maldives in Colombo could not confirm the reports. Container seized with counterfeit cigarettes

A container with?10,770,000 sticks of counterfeit cigarettes, valued at Rs 355 Million was?seized by the customs department today. The customs department said that the container was?examined by the staff of the customs post clearance and audit division today at Grandpass.
