Twelve Parliament employees found to be infected

Twelve Parliament employees have been found to be infected with the coronavirus.

They were detected after rapid antigen tests were conducted in Parliament today.

According to the Parliament Department of Communications, 275 people were tested for Covid in Parliament today. This included Parliamentarians, Parliament staff and security officers.

The tests found that 12 people were infected and steps have been taken to detect their close contacts.

The Parliament Department of Communications said that Parliament will operate with limited staff from tomorrow until further notice. (Colombo Gazette)
