More Pfizer vaccines arrive in Sri Lanka

More Pfizer vaccines arrived in Sri Lanka today, officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) said.

A batch of 100,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived from the United States today.

On 5th July, the first consignment of 26,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in Sri Lanka.

The Pfizer vaccine was initially administered as the 2nd jab for those who had received the AstraZeneca vaccine as the first dose.

However, the vaccination program was suspended after it was assured that more AstraZeneca vaccines will be received.

Pak authorities arrest four people from Lahore amid terror threats

Following the recent terror threats in Pakistan, the counter-terrorism authorities from the country’s Punjab province arrested four persons from Lahore on September 20, the vernacular media said.
