Interpol help sought to extradite red sanders smugglers in Sri Lanka

Deadline to return mutilated or defaced currency notes extended

The?deadline to return mutilated or defaced currency notes has been extended till March 31, 2018. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) had earlier announced it will not make payments to mutilated, altered or defaced currency notes after 31.12.2017. However on the instructions of the President the deadline has now been extended till?March 31, 2018.
