Landslide warning issued for Kandy, Kegalle and Matale

A landslide warning has been issued for several areas in Kandy, Kegalle and Matale.

The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) issued a Level 1?landslide warning for the three districts this evening.

The warning has been issued for the?Udunuwara, Delthota, Gangawata Korale, Yatinuwara,
Thumpane, Ududumbara, Doluwa, Medadumbara and Pathadumbara Divisional Secretariat
Divisions and surrounding areas in the Kandy District.

The warning has also been issued for the Mawanella and Aranayaka Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas in the Kegalle District.

The NBRO also issued the warning for the Ambanganga Korale and Rattota Divisional Secretariat Divisions and surrounding areas in the Matale District.

A Level 1 warning urges the public to be cautious and watchful of the possibility of landslides, rock falls, and ground subsidence. (Colombo Gazette)

Namal goes to meet Sumanthiran and seek support

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate Namal Rajapaksa met Illangai Thamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK) MP M.A Sumanthiran at the Tamil MPs house and sought ITAK’s support at the election.
