Eight Thai nationals arrested in Colombo

Eight (08) Thailand nationals have been arrested on charges of violating visa conditions. The Police said three women and five men were found to have been overstaying in Sri Lanka in St. Anthony?s Mawatha in Colombo 03 without valid visa documents. They were arrested following a search warrant obtained from the Fort Magistrate?s Court. The suspects will be produced before the Fort Magistrate?s Court today. Over 30 Covid infected bodies buried in Batticaloa

A total of 31 coronavirus infected bodies have been buried in Batticaloa so far. Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said the remains of seven Covid victims were buried in the Oddamawadi area in Batticaloa today.
