UDA Chairman tests positive

By Vyshnavy Velrajh Urban Development Authority (UDA) Chairman Harshan de Silva has tested positive for COVID-19. Harshan de Silva told Colombo Gazette that he had suffered from fever on Sunday (30 January) and Monday (1), following which he had undergone PCR and rapid antigen tests on Monday evening. AG forwards indictments against former ETI Directors

Attorney General (AG) Dappula de Livera today (3) forwarded indictments against the former Directors of Swarnamahal Jewellers (Pvt.) Ltd. and ETI Finance. Chinese rolls with sleeping pills given to passengers in bus

A youth has stolen jewellery and money from two women travelling in a long-distance bus after offering them Chinese rolls filled with sleeping pills. Police Spokesman Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said the two women were travelling in a bus from Anuradhapura to Colombo at the time of the incident.
